The return of the T-Rex

Boulcott Street Bistro Wellington Restaurant

Following popular demand, Rex Morgan and the team  are bringing back the winning entry of Burger Wellington 2012 competition, the T-Rex.

Made from all beef chuck steak patty and BBQ short rib, there are no bones about it, this will be the meatiest return ever served.

The T-Rex comes with celery mayonnaise and smoked tomato on a Pandora bun with hand-cut fries served on a shoulder bone.

The T-Rex burger is $20, and is available at lunchtime only for the month of July.

What critics have said:

“Did I feel like a T-Rex? Maybe. Did I let out a roar of delight? Probably. Do I hope Boulcott Street Bistro will bring back the burger from time to time (and let me know beforehand)? Definitely.”

Gusty Gourmet, Aug 2012

“A better class of burger – a bit next level.”

Jeremy Taylor, Burger Wellington judge, Aug 2012

Feature Winery : ARA Wines

arawines at Boulcott Street Bistro

ARA wines are grown sustainably on a naturally gifted single vineyard in Marlborough, New Zealand and the ARA sauvignon blanc and pinot noir have been described as ‘three dimensional’ and ‘immaculate’.

For these very reasons, we’re featuring ARA Wines ‘Resolute’ Sauvignon Blanc 2011 and ‘Select Blocks’ Pinot Noir 2010 for the month of June. These selected ARA wines are delicious on their own and also make a perfect pairing with the Bistro’s classic dishes.

‘Bone’ Appetit – $20 T-Bone

Tbone steak boulcott street wellington restaurant 2

We did steal this blog title from American rapper T-Bone –  however,  we’re certain if he tasted our June lunch special, all would be forgiven.

We’ve a new meaty offering on the lunch menu for the month of June, Twenty Dollar T-bones.
This big beautiful steak is served with Café de Paris butter and watercress salad. It’s a great value winter dish that’s perfect for a casual lunch.
