Have been to Wellington only three times in three years and each time we go to this restaurant. Excellent ambiance, wonderful food with friendly and very efficient service. Have recommended this to friends and they have all said the same. You cannot reserve a table but a nice bar to have a drink while you wait.

Summer lunch menu.

Offering hints of summer and a touch of the festive season, Rex Morgan and our culinary team have crafted some delicious new additions to our lunch menu. It includes such delights as Tuscan Tomato and Bread soup, Moeraki Venison Sausages, Steamed Asparagus, Butternut and Feta Risotto, and Lamb Cutlets. Yum.

Yes, another of my favourite restaurants – first came here in 1988 and I’ve been coming back ever since !

I have been to BSB a number of times most recently with a friend of mine who was so in awe of the dessert menu that she chose a dessert for entree aswell as dessert! 

Each time I come here I have steak – it really is delicious and have always been looked after well with great advice on wine matches and great conversation – never intrusive but always on hand.

They don’t take bookings but it is definitely worth a visit. It’s my choice for something special, where I want to have a conversation without shouting and enjoy a relaxed but classy atmosphere.

Food is superb – medium rare steak with Bernaise sauce and seasonal greens always a favourite. I love their beans almost as much as the steak.

Do yourself a favor and experience this for yourself.
